Blessed And Favored
Devotions:
“For thou, Lord, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.” Psalms 5:12 KJV
In the New Covenant we have been made the righteousness of God in Christ. Then we are the blessed of the Lord. We should look for and expect those blessings. When our circumstances seem to be more of a curse than a blessing then we must step out in faith and call those things that be not as though they were. When then curse tries to come upon us we cry out, No we the blessed by God according to Psalm 5:12. We are the righteousness of God so we are the blessed by Him. We must take what God says is ours, by faith.
The second part is true. We do not judge the scriptures by our experiences or circumstances but by faith we are to dominate our circumstances as the blessed of God surrounded by His favor as with a shield. We are not hoping to be blessed or to be encompassed with favor as with a shield. It is already ours and we walk in it by faith. When we believe it and speak it out with our mouth often, giving thanks for the truth, then we will walk in the reality of what is already ours.
Meditate on this verse until your are expecting favor and blessing at every turn in your life.
