Love With God's Love

        “And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.”

        We have been given the God kind of love, the kind of love that caused a totally innocent man to take the guilt and punishment for the most despicable beings, us. This love is not naturally in us but God put it in us at the new birth.  We must learn to let this love rule and dominate us.  The more we understand of this love the more it creates the same kind of love in us.  Our understanding comes by being in the presence of this love, the presence of God and receiving it.  The more we understand the love of God for us the greater our faith will be and the more we will want to be totally set free from sin. 

        When we yield to God's love in our heart, looking to the greater one in us to overcome our fleshly desires the more we will grow in this love.  God loved the unloveable and He calls us to do the same. Impossible?  Yes in our own strength but the one who dwells within you has already done that to the ultimate degree when He died for you on the cross.  Now He wants to do the same through you. You let the love of God rule in your heart. Feed on His love for you daily!
