Established In God

        “Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith: To God only wise, be glory through Jesus Christ for ever.         What was Paul's gospel? The translators say and the preaching of Jesus Christ. It can also be translated, even the preaching of Jesus Christ.  Paul mentions that it is a mystery that has been hiddened and is not revealed. What is that mystery? Colossians 1: 27, Christ in you the hope of glory. This is the restoration of the glory that Paul says of which we have all fallen short .it is not our glory but totally God's glory manifested in mankind.  When we know this truth, this mystery and believe it it will establish us in God. We will no longer be drawn away by sin not held in its cruel bondage.  In this mystery we have our righteousness and holiness which are of God.  We have our identity as the sons of God, not sinners or servants but sons.  This is the revelation of the love of God and when we believe it we will walk in obedience to Him.  We walk in disobedience because we do not really believe in His love for us.  We must constantly stay in the word of God to continually keep fresh in our minds how much God loves us.  The enemy is strong in deception.  He can make us feel deserted, betrayed, unloved and if we walk by our feelings we will turn from God. God's word never changes. His love for us never changes and it is far greater than we have ever thought possible.  It is His love for us and the revelation of that love that causes us to turn away from the things that would destroy us and run into His presence.  Be established in His love!
