“That no flesh should glory in his presence.”

‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭1:29‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.”

‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭3:11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

All of our salvation is the work of God. The foundation is the work of Jesus on the cross and at His resurrection, ascension and seating at the right hand of the Father in the place of authority. Our salvation is, as. He is so are we.  We died with Him, we rose with Him and we were seated with Him at the right hand of the Father in the place of authority.  This is exclusively the work of God and not of our own.  We just receive it when we are convicted by the Holy Spirit that we do not know Jesus as our Lord and Savior.  If we do not know Jesus as Savior and Lord then we must deal with our offenses against God by ourselves and no one is able to do that.  But if Jesus is our Lord then He is also our sin bearer.

Then our work is not to try to deal with sin but to gaze upon Him continually wh bore our sins in His won body on the tree that we shouold be free from sin and live unto righteousness.  He is our righteousness whether we live in that righteousness or we live in the flesh. There are bad consequences for living in the flesh.  But our righteous status does not change with the Father.  Satan uses our sin to turn us away from God, but God's salvation is by gazing upon Him and allowing Him to do the work with in us.  As we gaze at Him through His word, it has the power to set us free.  It is the truth of our redemption. Our repentence comes as a result of our forgiveness not to obtain forgiveness.  Forgiveness was Jesus dying on the cross for us.  We are transformed as we behold His love for us!
