Devotions:

It is vitally important that we, children of God, follow the leading of the Holy Spirit.

“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil.” ‭Proverbs‬ ‭3:5-7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Here we are told that if we will look to the Lord and acknowledge Him in all of our ways we can be confident of Him leading us.  When we try to figure out things with our own understanding, rational thinking, or wits then we will fail. Many times His leading will not make sense to our natural mind but as we follow the leading, God shows up.

God who is wisdom of the universe will give us His direction and guidance. The quote is from the Old Testament talking to people who were not born again and did not have the Spirit of within them.  We are the temple of the Holy Ghost and yet many Christians do not realize that God is resident within them.  If we do not know that God is within us by the Holy Spirit then we do not expect nor look for His guidance.  In John's Gospel we are told that the Holy Spirit will lead us to all truth, reveal Jesus to us, show us things to come.  He will lead us around evil and temptations but we must honor His leading lest we override the leading in favor of our flesh.  As we follow the leading of the Holy Spirit in our lives we walk as sons of God.  We must learn to wait on His leading in our lives.  He leads by His peace within our hearts sometimes through a word, an unction, a dream or a vision. The leading is constant,

The more you pursue the leading that God gives you the more you will walk in peace in your spirit.  Your flesh may be trembling but you will be at peace when you check your spirit.

“Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.” ‭Isaiah‬ ‭26:3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Do not allow your adverse circumstances to distract you. Keep your mind on God and Jesus.  He will move on your behalf as you ask Him to move, stand on His word and focus on Him.
