The Secret Place

Devotions:

        “He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.” ‭Psalms‬ ‭91:1‬ ‭KJV‬‬

        God's desire is that we live in His presence. As Christians, He is always with us but He calls us to walk in His presence consciously by faith. As we make it a daily habit to dwell in His presence then He is able to protect us and guard us from the enemy. How do we abide in His secret place?

        “I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭91:2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

        David says that we dwell in His presence by speaking it out, He is my refuge and my fortress. Our faith is released in the words that we say. Do we say that we are forsaken or do we say what God says, that He would never leave us or forsake us and would abide with us forever. Speak continuously to the Lord that He is our refuge and our fortress, our God in Him will we trust explicitly. Our dwelling is a function of our mouth not our feelings.  Our feelings are subject to change quickly but His word never changes. Speak His word, what He has said about you. He is your God!  Do not just say it once but continuously, He is your God, your healer, your provider, your wisdom. What you say, in line with His word, is what you will get. If you speak contrary to His word, the devil will make sure that you get that. 

        This secret place is the throne that Jesus ascended to and was seated upon.  We ascended with Him and were seated with Him over all of our defeated enemies. Do not let the devil's lies steal it from you. Walk as the king you are in Christ Jesus.
