Enjoying God

Devotions:

      The Westminister Confession states, "What is the chief end of man? But to glorify God and to enjoy Him forever."

      How do we glorify God? We glorify God by partaking of His goodness. The closer that we live to God and the more we know Him, the more of His goodness in which we walk. Only God is good!

      “And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭19:17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

        The world, the flesh and the devil have nothing good to offer to us. God calls us to experience His goodness and His blessings. He is an extravagant God and there is no good besides Him.

      Sometimes God's ways do not seem good but sometimes this is because we are seeking to be fulfilled in His gifts and not in Him. When we look to our experiences to fulfill us we will eventually be disappointed because they are subject to change and cannot bring fulfillment to only what God can fulfill. God created us to be fulfilled only by Him. We are to walk by faith in His goodness in good times and bad. God does not send the bad times but as we turn the bad times over to Him in prayer He will turn the situation for our good. Satan did not design those times to be a blessing but to be a curse and bring destruction but as we pray God flips them for us to our good.

        We are to show forth the glory of God by partaking of His healing, of His provision, of His joy and giving Him all the credit for His total provision how our wellbeing. It is pure joy to walk with God and to obey Him. We show forth His glory by yielding to God. The more we yield, themore we experience His goodness, the more we show forth His glory
