Bought With A Price

Devotions:

“For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: and that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.” ‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭5:14-15‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The the  is a great love story about God, the Creator, and His fallen creation. Though it is marred and broken, He loves it and was willing to pay a great price and go to great lengths to rectify it to Himself. The whole reason for His creation was mankind. He had entrusted mankind with protecting His creation but mankind failed and gave the guardianship to the enemy. This did not stop God’s love for His creation. He came in the form of a man to redeem us from all that would destroy us. He took our punishment for mankind’s misdeeds in order to restore us to the Father God. When Jesus died for our sins, we died with Him. We were buried with Him and rose again with Him from the dead to newness of life, His life within us. We then no longer live for ourselves but for Him who died for us. We are not our own, we have been bought with a price. We live then to glorify Him who loved us with an everlasting love. As He has committed Himself to us,

“What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.”

‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭6:19-20‬ ‭KJV‬‬
