The Mercy Of God

Devotions:
God’s love is from everlasting to everlasting to those who love Him. This is to those who receive His mercy. Those who do not receive His mercy desire to walk in their own ways. Repentance is turning to God to receive His forgiveness instead of looking to your own efforts to save themselves and be pleasing to God by their own effort and righteousness. Religious people put an emphasis of repenting of your sins to get saved. We can not put away our sins by out strength. What cleanses us from our sins and set us free is the blood of Jesus and the revelation of the work of Jesus on the cross as revealed by the word of God. It is not our efforts or our strength by which we are saved but by the work and mercy of God. Our part is to receive what He has done and act like it is true. That is to believe what God has done as He reveals it to us by the Holy Spirit. To try to live by the strength of our flesh results in defeat.
“For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not. For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do. Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me. I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.” Romans 7:18-21, 25 KJV
