Righteous Before Our Father

Devotions:

We are no longer under the law. We walk by the Spirit and thus fulfill the law of God. We are under grace. The grace of God is Jesus living the perfect life before the Father and becoming our substitute to pay for all of our sins. he then rose victorious over death, hell and the grave. When we receive what He did for us, we are born again of his Spirit, the Spirit of resurrection. We are made new creations in Christ Jesus and Jesus but the Holy Spirit comes to dwell within us manifestations all of the traits of Jesus. So we have received His righteousness, His Holiness, His perfect life before the Father. All of this is not only written to our account before God but we actually experience it by the new birth. God imparts His nature to us and radically changes us from a sinner to a new creation in Christ Jesus. We were recreated in righteousness and holiness. So the law is fulfilled by Jesus within us. That is why we need to learn to follow the leading of the Spirit of God to be set free from the deeds of the flesh.

“Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.” ‭Romans‬ ‭7‬:‭4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: that the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.” ‭Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭3‬-‭4‬ ‭KJV‬‬
