Two Kingdoms

Devotions:

          “who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:” ‭Colossians‬ ‭1:13‬ ‭KJV‬‬

          There are two kingdoms in the universe. You belong to one or the other kingdom. One is the kingdom of this world or the kingdom of Satan. Because of Adam’s sin. We were all in Adam when he sinned so we were all born in sin, the kingdom of darkness. In the Old Covenant, God’s people were still subject to the kingdom of darkness even as hard as thy tried to follow God.  God’s mercy was there for them. We have been delivered from the kingdom of darkness through Christ Jesus. But if we do not know this we will still walk at the dictates of the head of the kingdom of darkness. The kingdom of darkness is the kingdom of darkness because it is ruled by the wicked ruler of darkness, the prince of this world. The kingdom of God is the kingdom of God because it is ruled by God and His love.

          When we go our own way and do our own thing we are walking in the kingdom of darkness. 

          “O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps.” ‭Jeremiah‬ ‭10:23‬ ‭KJV‬‬

        In the natural we cannot know that we have been delivered from Satan’s kingdom, but we have and as we walk daily with God, we will walk more and more in the kingdom of God.
