Jesus Did It All

Devotions:

“looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.” Titus‬ ‭2:13-14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Jesus was the sacrifice for our sins. He redeemed us from all iniquity. It was not any of our work but all of Jesus’ work. Then Jesus purified us to Himself as a people, a special treasure to God, zealous for good works. This is due to none of our actions to try to clean up our act to be accepted by God.  There is nothing said about our having to continuously repent to be forgiven. It is all the completed work of Jesus.  He has redeemed us. He has paid for all our iniquities. He has purified us and made us a peculiar people, a special treasure unto our God.  He has made us zealous for good works. As we take time to meditate on this the completed work of Jesus will become real to our heart. Then we will understand that Jesus is not returning with His head held down in embarrassment and shame because to the ungodly actions of His people. Jesus is making a glorious appearance because all that we need was performed by Jesus and does not depend on us. Our part is to accept what Jesus has done and respond to His goodness and love towards us.

All that we are is in Him. We are in Him and He is in us. He is our blessed hope.

This is God’s opinion of us.!
