How do We See Ourselves?
February 21, 2022
Devotions:
What we believe about ourselves is what we will speak about ourselves and our situation. If we believe that we are victims then we will talk like victims and act like victims. If we believe that we are weak and subject to sickness and disease then we will talk like we are sick and weak. When sickness and disease knocks on our door we will open the door and let sickness and disease have it’s way in our lives by the words that we speak. What we say rules us and what we believe about ourselves is what rules what we say.
Satan is in a war to control what we think and what we believe about ourselves. He beaters us down and then tells us that we are worthless and no good. He tells us that we are nothing to the world and to God. He tells us that we are so bad that not even God can love us and if He does, He really is just putting up with us until we sin.
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8 KJV
God’s love for us is not determined by our actions but because God is love. Our actions should be determined by our perception of God’s love for us. The more that we know His love for us the more we want to walk in His ways and in His love. He does not condemn us but loves us unconditionally. He forgives us unconditionally and He accepts us unconditionally. Our choice is to receive His love for us which will transform us or to reject His love for us which will harden us.
How do we see ourselves? His love made us more than a conqueror!
“Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.”
Romans 8:37 KJV
More than a conqueror or a loser?
