Green Pastures And Still Waters

Devotions:
“He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters.”
Psalms 23:2 NASB1995
Two days ago I started with the 23 Psalm. The second verse shows us what care our Shepherd will do for us. He brings me to places where I am fed physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. He takes me to the place where there is an over abundance of nourishing meals. And He also takes me to pools of clear, clean water physically. Water is also a type of the Holy Spirit.
in Ezekiel we are told of the bad shepherds that did not care for the sheep but got fat on the provision meant for the sheep and muddied the water that was meant for the sheep to drink. This speaks of manipulation and confusion that leaders bring in for their own gain. Sheep will not drink from muddied waters, it has to be clear and clean.
The good Shepherd is responsible for all of our provision. So if we are hungry or whatever our need, we need to look to the provision of the Good Shepherd.
