Fullness Of God

“that Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, and to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.” Ephesians 3:17, 19 KJV
Continuing the prayer in Ephesians, Paul wants the church to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge. That is, that Christ's love is so great for us that there are no human words adequate to describe it. The full revelation of this love we will understand when we get to heaven and yet it is infinite. It will take eternity to explain it to us.
John in 1 John says that if we walk in love we walk in God. This is not the cheap, earthly love which is really selfishness, but it is the love of God that is willing to sacrifice everything to see us blessed.
As we increase in the revelation of God’s love for us we increase in love for God and for our fellow humans. The more we walk in love with God and with our fellowman, the more we are filled with God.
Love is the foundation for the gifts of the Spirit. We are called to demonstrate God’s love for humanity which will sometimes result in the manifestations of the Spirit. People are not needing power by itself, they are needing the love of God. When the manifestations of the Spirit are an act of God’s love, God’s kingdom, then it will bring healing and wholeness.
We need daily, a refreshed revelation of His love for us. We enter into this by praise and thanksgiving for the manifestations of God’s love that we have already experienced and for what the Bible proclaims is ours even though we have not yet experienced it.
