God Fulfillment

Devotions:

          “Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever.           God had no choice but to allow then to go further in their sin. They then entered into sexual promiscuity and they started worshipping sex. They were totally caught up in sex as if it would fulfill them but it cannot fill the void that the absence of the creator produces.  The danger of promiscuity is that we are seeking to fulfill ourselves with that which only God can fulfill.  Sex has its rightful place in marriage but even then we must be fulfilled by God or we will have a rocky marriage. We will try to make our partners fulfill us when they cannot. 

          Pornography also is a trap. It is Satan’s counterfeit for worship. We begin worshipping our good feelings instead of God. Our sexual fulfillment is within the boundaries of a covenant relationship in which both partners die to themselves to live for each other.  In this relationship, God must be the source of our lives not our fun, or physical excitement nor our good feelings. 

          When we believe the truth of God and what He has done for us in salvation, then we choose to enter into His presence we enter into His goodness and fulfillment and we do not look for fulfillment elsewhere.
