Doers Of The Word Of God Are Blessed

Devotions:

             “Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls. But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.”  ‭James‬ ‭1:21-22‬ ‭KJV‬‬

           The challenge of the body of Christ is to be doers of the word of God. The blessing comes from being doers of the word and not being hearers only. God’s way is the way of blessing.  As we meditate on the word of God, His word drops down into our hearts and creates faith in our heart. Faith is our access to the grace of God and His strength and favor. Our minds cannot understand the word of God. 

          “But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.”

‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭2:14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

          “Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.” Romans‬ ‭8:7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

        We cannot  figure the word of God out with our mind. We must understand the word of God with out spirit. Medication is how we engage the word of God with our spirit. The word comes through our mind but we must keep thinking about it and reading it until it gets into our spirit. Only when it gets into our spirit and the Holy Spirit gives us the understanding can we act on the word of God and receive the benefit. 

          “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.” ‭Joshua‬ ‭1:8‬ ‭KJV‬‬
