By Faith We Enter Into This Grace

Devotions:

We are not to walk by our emotions or by our circumstances but by faith in the word of God. Our emotions and the circumstances will change with time and go up and down but the word of God stays the same. When things seem to be going bad we need to stand on the word of God and speak what the word says and not what our circumstances say. Our words and faith in the word of God will change our circumstances.

“giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: in whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:” ‭Colossians‬ ‭1:12-14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Here in Colossians Paul tells us that we have qualified to inherit the universe along with Jesus. We have been delivered from the the kingdom of darkness. We therefore should not put up with the kingdom of darkness.

“by whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.” ‭Romans‬ ‭5:2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

We do not receive by wanting the deliverance or by hoping for it or by believing that God is going to deliver us. Notice that Paul uses the past tense, hath or has made us meet or qualified us or has delivered us. Faith must be in the right tense. We rest in the finished work of Christ not hoping that He will have mercy on us and move on our behalf. He already had mercy on us when He went to the cross and moved on our behalf. He ask us to believe what He had done even when it does not look like it and act like it is true. When Satan knocks on your door, you are to answer Him with the word of God like Jesus did. This requires that you meditate on the word of God, on the promises or provisions of God until they become real in your heart. Be convinced of the love of the Father for you and that He cannot lie!
