Keeping In The Love Of God

Devotions:

          “But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.” ‭‭Jude‬ ‭1:20-21‬ ‭KJV‬‬

         “And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.” 1 John‬ ‭4:16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

          To walk in love towards all is to walk in God and God in you. How do you walk in love with everybody? One way is building ourselves up by praying in the Holy Ghost or praying in tongues. When we pray in tongues long enough our mind shuts down,  our emotions become calm and our spirit takes over. Our spirit is born again in the likeness and image of our Heavenly Father. 1John 4:8 says that God is love and we were recreated in His image and likeness. So we were created as love beings, just like our Father is love, so are we love beings. It was our spirit that was recreated, not our soul nor our bodies. So as we pray in the spirit until our body and soul become transformed by the word of God through the Holy Spirit. He is our teacher and guide to all truth. Through the Holy Spirit we learn of our love nature from God.

Through the Holy Spirit especially by praying in the spirit we learn the truth of our Father’s great love for us. Our love is a product of the revelation of how much our Father loves us. So as we renew our knowledge of His great love for us through the Spirit we grow in our love for Him and for our fellow humans.
