The Spirit And The Word

“And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.” Mark‬ ‭16:20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

We need both the word of God and the Spirit of God to have a successful ministry. The word of God by itself, though it is anointed is very limited in power because without the Spirit of God to administer it, it is powerless. The Spirit of God without the word of God is inactive because the Spirit responds to faith and without the word of God we cannot have faith. So the Spirit works with the word of God to bring about salvation to all who will hear. The Spirit makes the word alive.

“who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.” 2 Corinthians‬ ‭3:6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

We receive the administration of the Spirit as we spend time in God’s presence waiting on Him and fellowshipping with Him. When we have His leading we should obey what He has to say and we will then have the anointing to fulfill His word.
