Oneness With God

Devotions:

        “In him was life; and the life was the light of men.”  ‭‭John‬ ‭1:4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

          God is life. There is no life apart from Him. Without Him people do not cease to exist, they just exist apart from His goodness and blessing. There is not goodness or blessing apart from Him.

          When we were born again, we were given a new nature, the nature of God. Without this nature we cannot intimately know God. We will have knowledge of Him but not an intimate knowledge where we are receiving of His divine life. The devil knows that there is a God and he trembles in fear. We make the choice. God invites us to partake of His goodness and blessing but He will not force us.

         To be one with Him we must be exactly like Him. This is the blessing He gave us that we would be like Him through the work of Jesus. Jesus is our life. Without Jesus we exist but only in the curse.

          “Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.” ‭1 John‬ ‭4:17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

          Because Jesus was totally one with the Father and we are in Jesus and He is in us we are then also one with the Father. Then we must separate that we are a spirit being, we have a soul and we live in a body. We then must get our souls transformed by the word of God and the Spirit of God and we must keep our bodies under subjection to our spirit.
