Complete In Him

Devotions:
“Whom have I in heaven but thee? And there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee. My flesh and my heart faileth: But God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.” Psalm 73:25-26 KJV
The Psalmist knew that God was his satisfaction, his fulfillment. No one else nor anything else could fulfill him and yet he had only a limited access God. He was still in his sins and in bondage to them.
“Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:” Colossians 2:8-10 KJV
We are in Christ and our fulfillment, completeness and satisfaction are in Him. We as humans were made to be in relationship with God. Without God we are vain and empty. We seek something to fulfill us but nothing can fill up that vacuum but God. We must choose to walk in the completeness of Christ that puts in position to be givers and not getters. We live to be a blessing instead of seeking to be blessed. We are blessed in Him. We learn to receive blessing because we know that the giver will receive a blessing by giving. God is our source, but He uses people and the people He uses receive a blessing by giving. If they do not give to us, we are unconcerned because we know that God is our source in every area. Where our natural tendency is to be hurt, we turn to the Lord. If we are hurt it is because someone did not get blessed, not because we did not get blessed. We walk in love and our blessing cannot miss us. We are complete in Him, not our spouse or our children nor our job or any substance or even food but in God. This is the work of Jesus.
