God Is Good

Devotions:

         “For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.”

‭‭Malachi‬ ‭3:6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

God never changes, that means that He is always good. He is always a blessing to all of His people as much as we will allow Him. We are the ones that limit how much He will bless us by how much we will receive. We receive by faith in His love for us.

“by whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.” ‭Romans‬ ‭5:2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

If we know that God is constant then we can rely upon His goodness. If we do not receive His goodness we know that we have an adjustment to make. God is holding His blessings out for us to receive and He does not draw back the blessing. His word is His bond and we can count on it being a revelation of His love for us, not His judgement. His judgement will come upon those who totally reject His goodness towards us as revealed in Jesus and His passion. God wants us to receive His glory, His goodness. Our response to His blessing towards us is to increase in our love for Him and for His creation, especially those created in His image.

Bible hope is the confident expectation of good. We should be in a constant expectation of God’s goodness because His love never changes. Then we can add faith to that expectation and believe that we have received what God has done for us. Faith brings the reality of the spiritual realm into the natural realm. We are seeing God’s work in the spiritual and bringing it into the natural realm to enjoy. All God’s provisions revealed in His word are ours and His desire for us to have His blessings is greater than we can imagine.
