Confident In God

September 23, 2022

Devotions,

“For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work among you will complete it by the day of Christ Jesus.” ‭Philippians‬ ‭1:6‬ ‭NASB2020

Paul was confident about God’s love for His people. He was confident about the plan that God had for their salvation and that it did not rely upon them but upon the finished work of Christ. We also must be confident about God holding us in the palm of His hand. Confident that God cares for us affectionately and watches over us carefully.

Being confident of God’s care and protection for us we need to trust in Him and harken our ear to hear the leading of His Spirit. A little child playing outside is under the parents protection as long as the child obeys and does not run into the street to play. As we hear God’s Spirit and obeying God is then able to guide us around trouble and harm. He will for warn us of a pending attack of the enemy so we can avoid it or prepare for the attack so that it does not adversely affect us.

We must become confident of God’s love for us. We build that confidence when we make a quality decision that God’s word is truth and we spend time meditating on it to write it on our hearts.
